Gate Services for Bethlehem Homes and Businesses
Most gate calls fall into one of six kinds of work. Some jobs cross over (a new operator on an old gate is part repair, part access control), so use the table to find the closest fit, then read that page for the details.
Still not sure? Describe what the gate is doing when you call, or start with the troubleshooting guide. Either way, you hear what the job involves and what it costs before any work starts.

Which Service Do I Need?
My automatic gate stopped working. Is that repair or openers?
Start with gate repair. The first job is finding out whether the fault is in the gate itself (hinges, track, sag), in the operator or in the controls. A gate that drags or a blocked photo eye can look exactly like a dead opener. If the operator or the controls do need replacing, that work is covered on the openers and access control page.
Can you automate the manual gate I already have?
Often, yes, if the gate is sound, moves freely by hand and hangs on solid posts. A heavy or sagging gate has to be fixed or rebuilt first: an operator only makes a binding gate fail faster. The sizing guide on the automatic gates page shows what class of operator a gate needs.
My gate is old. Should I repair it or replace it?
It depends on the frame, the posts and the operator, and Braden will tell you straight if something isn’t worth fixing. Rusted-through frames, rotted posts and operators so old that parts are no longer made usually point to replacement. Worn hinges, rollers, sensors and control boards usually don’t.
Do you build fence to match a new gate?
Yes. Fencing integration is part of the work: matching sections on each side of a new gate, or tying a new gate into an existing fence line so posts, heights and styles line up. See custom gates and fencing.
We manage several properties. Where do we start?
Call and tell us how many sites and gates you have and what kind they are. The commercial and property management page compares calling us when something breaks with a scheduled maintenance plan.
Is maintenance worth it if the gate works fine?
For an automatic gate, yes. Most failures start small: a dry hinge, a loose bolt, a photo eye knocked slightly out of line, salt working into a chain. A seasonal check finds those while they are still simple to fix. The maintenance guide lists what to do yourself and what to leave to us.
